Hi, welcome to my personal web space! I am PhD student in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech specializing in Power Systems Engineering. My research interests are focused on the application of optimization and graph-theoretic techniques, and development of algorithmic solutions for smart power systems. I am also interested in applying game theory, machine learning, and statistical techniques to social and physical networks. I am currently being advised by Dr. Vassilis Kekatos.
I received my B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, where I was the recipient of the Electrical Engineering Departmental Scholarship for 3 years. I recently completed my M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech and am now enrolled in the PhD program. I am also a Licensed Professional Engineer (State of Texas, License No. 115491) with 4+ years of electrical engineering design and construction administration experience and 3+ years of research experience related to smart grids and renewable energy integration. I am seeking opportunities to work and collaborate with consulting firms, utilities, research laboratories, and RTO/ISO’s. Please connect with me on Linkedin and Researchgate (links on the sidebar)
Besides research work, I like to play racquet ball, table tennis, and soccer. When the weather and time permit, I do day hikes in the nearby Appalachian mountains. I am also a very amateurish guitarist and photographer. Some of my recent photos are on the sidebar. Feel free to follow me on Flickr!
